Access to clean water for those who are in need.
Jakarta. Today, BMW Group Indonesia together with BMW Motorrad Indonesia is working withthe international non-profit organization Waves For Water to hold the Corporate SocialResponsibility program known as Care4Water in Indonesia for the second time. This globalinitiative aims to provide access to clean water to as many individuals as possible through thedistribution of the cutting-edge water filters equipped with 0.1 micron membranes that filter outimpurities including bacteria such as salmonella, e coli and others.
Ramesh Divyanathan, President Director of BMW Group Indonesia, and H. Prasetyo EdiMarsudi, Speaker of Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council, attended a clean waterfilter education and distribution event which took place in Krendang, Tambora, West Jakarta.Clean water filters attached in water tank are being installed in conjunction with educationprogram which stressed the importance of maintaining and using clean water in daily life. Thelocation was chosen based on its high population density and large dependence on clean waterfrom communal sources.
