Two in perfect harmony: the 5 Series Touring plug-in hybrids BMW 520e**, BMW 530e** and BMW 530e xDrive** combine the BMW eDrive electric drive technology with a powerful BMW combustion engine. Together the two drive units produce a driving experience that links maximum efficiency with supreme driving pleasure – and, depending on the drive mode, either locally emission-free and almost silent or with a thrillingly high torque and sufficient reserves for longer journeys as well. In the BMW 530e xDrive** Touring, the all-wheel drive system BMW xDrive, unique for plug-in hybrids in this segment, is an added guarantee of optimum dynamics and traction. So-called recuperation, in which kinetic energy is transformed into electrical energy and fed into the battery during braking, additionally delivers a valuable contribution to the efficient driving experience.

Alongside the Standard charging cable (mode 2) for domestic socket outlets supplied as a regular feature, the BMW Wallbox provides you with an extremely convenient, safe and fast method of charging. The Smart Wallbox from our partner offers more additional services for intelligent charging. The installation service ensures straightforward and correct mounting of the wallboxes. Panorama glass roof.
When open, the Panorama glass roof provides a great deal of fresh air. Closed, it creates a bright, light-flooded atmosphere in the interior. It opens and closes completely automatically at the push of a button or with the vehicle key, and is equipped with slide and lift functions, electric roller sunblind and wind deflector.
Trailer tow hitch.
The trailer tow hitch with electrically adjustable tow ball is approved for heavy loads of up to 2,000 kg. In order to stabilise, the trailer stability control automatically brakes the pulling vehicle if the trailer begins to swing. The electronically adjustable tow ball is not visible when stowed under the rear apron.
Luggage compartment package.
The luggage-compartment package enhances the functionality of the luggage compartment with an almost infinitely variable backrest angle adjustment including cargo position, left and right lashing rails with two moveable fastening points, a tensioning strap with plastic frames on the right side panelling as well as a multipurpose hook.

Driving Assistant
Driving Assistant Professional offers optimum comfort and safety during critical or monotonous traffic situations. Apart from the contents of the Driving Assistant, it also includes Steering and Lane Control Assistant with extended functions, Emergency Stop Assistant and Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection.
Parking Assistant.
The Reversing Assistant stores the last 50 m of the driven path in forward travel up to 35 km/h, so that it can be retracted if required. You are relieved of the steering work and can concentrate on monitoring the vehicle environment.
BMW Laserlight.
In laser high-beam mode, BMW Laserlight illuminates a range of up to 650 m, nearly twice as far as that of conventional headlights. Better visibility in the dark significantly increases safety. Blue accents and the lettering “BMW Laser” in the headlight also underline the technological standards and the sportiness of the vehicle.
